On Thursday, 20 February 2025, Member of Parliament Klaus-Peter Willsch (CDU) visited the MUCH Group in Limburg together with a colleague from the Limburg CDU, Member of Parliament Christian Wendel, and a member of his office staff. The aim of the visit was to find out about the fields of activity of the group of companies founded in 1991 in the areas of hall construction, containers, tents, ground protection, disaster control, crisis management and military services for manoeuvre camps.
Company visits enable MPs to gain an insight into the practical side of things and to directly address the concerns of the business community. They serve to promote dialogue between politics and business in order to jointly develop solutions to existing challenges.
During a tour of the new office building directly on the A3 motorway in Limburg, the MPs exchanged views with the owners Bernd and Manuel Much as well as the management, represented by Ralf Ruffini and Stefan Meuser. Selected employees reported on politically-related (bureaucratically complex) challenges in their day-to-day work. The company provided a list of important points for this purpose. Everyday problems faced by companies in the region were discussed in the dialogue, with the hope of future, pragmatic solutions from Berlin and the federal states.
Klaus-Peter Willsch emphasised: ‘I was particularly impressed by the innovative strength and the clear focus on quality and customer satisfaction. It was an exciting exchange about economic development and the importance of flexible space concepts for our region. Bernd Much and his management team have given us an impressive list of unnecessary and annoying regulations, which Christian Wendel and I will work through in the coming weeks in order to achieve a concrete reduction in bureaucracy.’
Klaus-Peter Willsch has represented the Rheingau-Taunus/Limburg constituency as a directly elected member of the German Bundestag since 1998. He is a full member of the Committee on Economic Affairs and Energy and a deputy member of the Defence Committee.
